Oxy-Integral is a high accuracy oxygen meter (1-999ppm range) that uses a precision chemical cell (Zirconium Oxide) to determine low-volume oxygen levels compared with normal air. The unit can be calibrated in normal ambient conditions and will read down to one part per million.

With its integrated sampling pump, the latest models can be used independently, as an integrated unit with Orbitec's unique TIGTRONIC controller providing documented traceability or interfaced with any other orbital welding manufacturer's controllers.

The interlock function allows OxyINTEGRAL to be used as a condition isolator, preventing welding taking place where Oxygen levels are likely to cause oxidation or bad welds.

An optional analyser, the Oxy-2, provides calibrated measurement of pure or mixed inert gases and controls processes throughout the welding sequence.

A rechargeable battery pack and base station are standard features of OxyINTEGRAL and its light weight and ergonomic shape make it the ideal portable instrument for all orbital welding applications, whatever the equipment being used.

The Oxy-Integral is designed to process the output from an oxygen sensor made of stabilized zirconium oxide. This material is a ceramic, also known as a solid electrolyte and is ideally suited to high temperatures like those used as an oxygen ion conductor. Such ion conductors whose temperature range is dependent on the composition of the material, possess the capability to fill empty spaces in their crystal structure with oxygen ions. The oxygen ions attach themselves to conductive platinum surfaces. The degree of oxygen concentration in gas determines the degree of oxygen activity and thus, the quantity of oxygen ions.

The Oxy-Integral sensor consists of a solid electrolyte, which is exposed to gas on both sides. One side is in contact with a reference gas: air; the other with the gas to be measured. Using both heated and unheated sensors a computation is done to give an accurate reading. Maintenance and calibration-free make this the premium choice in oxygen analyzing.

The Oxy-Integral is a maintenance-free, non- depleting oxygen indicator with an operating range of 999 ppm to 1 ppm. This unit incorporates an internal pump and is designed for measuring rest oxygen in inert gases such as argon. Using the supplied battery charging station, this unit can be used up to 4 hours before recharging is necessary.

AN300 Specialist Nitrogen Balance Analyser

Developed using start-of-the-art design and the latest manufacturing techniques, the microprocessor based AN300 nitrogen balance analyser has been designed for specialist vehicles applications. The application is the testing of nitrogen in vehicle tyres. Specialist applications (large aircraft, motor racing tyres, heavy machinery) use nitrogen as an inflation gas for a number of reasons; the nitrogen permeates through the tyre casing at around a third of the rate of oxygen, which keeps tyres inflated for longer. It also reduces the oxidation caused by oxygen and water vapour, thus extending the life of the tyre, and has a lower expansion rate with temperature, resulting in more even pressures under various conditions. The monitor has a stem for connecting to the tyre valve.

Featuring easy calibration, settings are secured when the lock key is pressed. In addition the low power draw allows the unit to continuously for 2000 hours on just 3 AA alkaline batteries. The AN300 features the improved N33 oxygen sensor which provides superior long-term stability and accuracy.

Industrial 4-20mA Transmitters for a Wide Range of Toxic Gases

It is essential to prevent any risk of asphyxia, poisoning or explosion due to the presence of gas in order to ensure safe operations.

OLDHAM has developed its SERIES 20, a new generation of gas detectors designed for production and other industries to cater for all detection requirements at an excellent price.

These are rugged 4-20mA transmitters in all-metal housings and come supplied with pre-calibrated sensors and a 15m cable. SF6 is a man-made gas used in high-voltage switchgear because of its great arc quenching capabilities. Partial discharges and leaks over time eventually cause the SF6 to decompose into highly corrosive compounds. It is therefore essential to monitor the condition of the SF6 to protect the equipment from spark damage and corrosion.

The Rapidox 3100C is a multi-gas analyser for the simultaneous measurement of SF6 (0-100%), SO2 (0-100ppm) and dewpoint (-65°C/+20°C). The analyser is designed for controlling and monitoring the quality of SF6 in gas insulated sub-stations and circuit breakers. The analyser not only measures the SF6 gas content in air or nitrogen over the full range, but also measures the moisture content of the SF6 which is essential when monitoring the dielectric strength of the gas. The decomposition products of SF6 can be identified by analysing the SO2 content of the gas; this forms from the breakdown of SOF2 and SOF4 after an electrical discharge. The analyser incorporates an electrochemical SO2 sensor to measure ppm levels of sulfur dioxide. All three gases can be monitored and data-logged simultaneously and just a few minutes are required to get a stable reading.

Regular checking of SF6 gas insulated substations allows fault preventative maintenance programs to be implemented, and increases the life cycle of the SF6.

The analyser has a gas output nozzle allowing all sampled gas to be recovered and recycled, ensuring that no SF6 gas is released into the atmosphere (in accordance with the Kyoto agreement).

The Rapidox 3100 Oxygen Gas Analyser: High Specification Sampling Gas Analyser Available with Dual-gas O2 and CO2 or O2 and CO Infra-red Option

he Rapidox 3100 oxygen analyser allows fast and accurate oxygen analysis over the full oxygen range (10e-20ppm to 100% O2). The pressure sensor can be linked with the sensor signal to give fully pressure corrected readings, or as a totally independent sensor.

The Rapidox 1100 Oxygen Gas Analyser: Entry Level Oxygen Gas Analyzer based on Electrochemical OR Zirconia Oxygen Sensors

New for 2009 Cambridge Sensotec are pleased to offer the Rapidox 1100; our entry level oxygen gas analyser. Based on the successful Rapidox 3100 this unit is smaller and more compact, yet retains many of the features offered in its larger brother. It is our first ever unit offered with EITHER an electrochemical cell OR a zirconia cell at the same price! The R1100 has a fixed flow sample pump for continuous sampling of the gas, and comes packed with features such as data-logging software, programmable alarms, programmable outputs and data-logging software.

The R1100E is based on the World-renowned Yuasa electrochemical cell which has a very long life (3-5 years) and is resistant to poisoning from carbon dioxide. The 1100E is suitable for use with hydrogen, helium and CH4 containing gases that are not compatible with zirconia. Range is 0.01% to 100% O2

The R1100Z is based on our Rapidox 3100 system and contains a zirconia sensor for enhanced range and speed. Zirconia sensors have many advantages over electrochemical sensors such as speed of response and low ppm measurements. However not all gases (e.g. flammable) are suitable for use with a zirconia sensor and in this case the R1100E is more appropriate. Range is 1.0ppm to 100% O2
