With up to 170 hours continuous operation on a single charge and supplying a powerful audible alarm (103dB at 1m) and ultra-bright LED flashing beacons, the BM25 is the only stand alone toxic gas monitor your will ever need. For protection of a workforce in a confined space or work area, the BM25 can even be run off trickle charge (via a zener barrier) in the hazardous area providing round-the-clock protection of a wide area.
Up to five sensors can be installed in the BM25 covering a wide range of toxic gases, as well as %LEL detection of explosive gases plus oxygen deficiency, giving total workforce protection. Units can be 'connected' together to give a safety perimeter and a manual call point can be added allowing the entire network to be alarmed together in an emergency situation.
These units are full waterproof and designed to be left in the harshest environments. A stand is available to raise the unit off the ground should monitoring at floor level not be appropriate.

The Oxy-Integral is designed to process the output from an oxygen sensor made of stabilized zirconium oxide. This material is a ceramic, also known as a solid electrolyte and is ideally suited to high temperatures like those used as an oxygen ion conductor. Such ion conductors whose temperature range is dependent on the composition of the material, possess the capability to fill empty spaces in their crystal structure with oxygen ions. The oxygen ions attach themselves to conductive platinum surfaces. The degree of oxygen concentration in gas determines the degree of oxygen activity and thus, the quantity of oxygen ions.

The application is the testing of nitrogen in vehicle tyres. Specialist applications (large aircraft, motor racing tyres, heavy machinery) use nitrogen as an inflation gas for a number of reasons; the nitrogen permeates through the tyre casing at around a third of the rate of oxygen, which keeps tyres inflated for longer. It also reduces the oxidation caused by oxygen and water vapour, thus extending the life of the tyre, and has a lower expansion rate with temperature, resulting in more even pressures under various conditions. The monitor has a stem for connecting to the tyre valve.
